Google reviews by industry: restaurants, salons, clinics, hotels

The principles are the same everywhere: ask everyone the same way, at the right moment, and keep the path short. Only the moment and the place change. Below, briefly, for the most common kinds of business.
Restaurants and cafés
- The moment: at payment or when the customer gets up from the table.
- The place: a card on every table or at the till; a QR code on the bill.
- Staff: can say the same to everyone: "A review helps us, whatever your experience was." No staff bonuses tied to review counts.
- Delivery and takeaway: a QR code on the packaging.
Salons and barbershops
- The moment: at the end of the service, when the customer sees the result in the mirror.
- The place: at reception or at each station.
- Careful: don't tie the next appointment or a lower price to a review.
Dental and aesthetic clinics
- The moment: after the visit, at reception, not during treatment.
- Privacy: in replies, don't confirm that someone is a patient and don't share medical details, even if the patient wrote them.
- Tone: short, professional replies with an invitation to talk privately.
Hotels and guesthouses
- During the stay: a direct channel for problems (reception, phone), so you fix them while the guest is still there.
- At check-out: invite every guest to review on Google or TripAdvisor; a card at reception keeps it short.
- In the room: Wi-Fi details and the menu can sit on the same card page, never depending on a review.
Gyms, shops and car services
- Gym: after a new member's first few visits, at reception.
- Shop: at the till, next to the card terminal.
- Car service: when handing back the car, together with the invoice.
