How to respond to positive reviews
3 min read · Updated 28 October 2026
Good reviews seem to need no reply, but a personal thank-you matters: the customer feels seen, and anyone reading your profile sees a business that pays attention to people.
The one-minute formula
- Thank them by name, if you know it.
- Mention a detail from the review: the dish, the haircut, the colleague they praised.
- Close warmly, without asking for anything in return.
Examples
- "Thank you, Ioana! We're glad you loved the pistachio tart; we'll tell Mihai it was a hit. See you soon!"
- "Thanks for the kind words, Dan. Glad the appointment went quickly and you're happy with the result."
Mistakes to avoid
- The same text on every review. Vary it, even a little.
- Long adverts in the reply (offers, links, keywords). It looks forced.
- Personal details about the customer they did not post themselves.
